A local court in Nashik did not grant interim relief to suspended TCS employee Nida Khan on her application seeking anticipatory bail. It issued notices to the respondents and asked the Nashik Police to file their reply on the application by April 27 when the court will hear the matter again.

Another court in Nashik sent Ms. Khan’s co-accused Raza Memon and Shafi Sheikh to 14-day judicial custody after their police custody ended.

In-camera hearing

The Nashik court held Ms. Khan’s hearing in-camera. “As the complainant is a woman and this is a rape case, the proceedings were held in-camera to protect the identity of the complainant,” Baba Sayed representing Ms. Khan, told The Hindu from Nashik.
