April 20 (UPI) -- A group of students from a Kansas high school rode to prom in style when they were able to enlist the services of an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
Breckan Andrews, a junior at Seaman High School, said the unconventional way he and his friends arrived at prom started when they took a trip to a Sonic fast food restaurant in Topeka and spotted the hot dog-shaped vehicle parked at a local Dillons grocery store.
"One of my buddies was like, 'Can we rent this thing?' and I was like, 'Well, what if we just ask about prom? What if they take us? It's tomorrow,'" Andrews told KSNT-TV. "Like, that'd be insane."
The friends approached Maggie Dawson, the Wienermobile's "Hot Dogger" driver, with their request.
"I'm just used to asking weird questions like that, to be honest. I like talking to everyone and it just made sense in my mind. You miss all the shots you don't take," Andrews told WIBW-TV.
