Jana Sena Party president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan underwent a surgical procedure on Saturday evening following a serious health condition.

According to a party release issued by his political secretary and MLC P. Hari Prasad, Mr. Kalyan had taken ill while holding discussions with officials on administrative matters. Subsequent medical examinations, including an MRI scan, indicated the need for surgery, which was carried out.

The statement noted that Mr. Kalyan had been experiencing health issues for the past few months. Doctors have advised him to take rest for about a week to ten days and follow necessary precautions, adding that full recovery may take some time.

Minister for IT and HRD Nara Lokesh wished him a speedy recovery and expressed hope that he would resume public duties soon after adequate rest.
