Controversial “manosphere” influencer Braden Peters, 20, more commonly known online as Clavicular, ended his livestream early Tuesday and was sent to the hospital after suffering a suspected overdose.

“Clavicular had a suspected overdose last night, and he was hospitalized,” representative Mitchell Jackson told NBC News. “We have no further comment.”

Peters posted a selfie Wednesday after returning home from the hospital, showing injuries to his face and calling the incident “brutal.”

“All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution,” he wrote. “The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”

Peters has gained popularity online, primarily within the manosphere space, by promoting “looksmaxxing,” a trend with roots in online incel (involuntarily celibate) forums, that aims to maximize an individual’s physical attractiveness, sometimes through unconventional or extreme methods.
