A lecture on Applied Psychology for Engineers was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, in association with the National Institution for Quality and Reliability.

Professor of Department of Applied Psychology, School of Physical, Chemical and Applied Sciences, Pondicherry University D. Barani Kanth in his lecture emphasised the importance of psychological well-being in engineering profession. He elaborated on how an understanding of human behaviour contributes to safer, more efficient and productive engineering practices, a release here said.

The event was presided over by Chairman and Managing Director of Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust M. Dhanasekaran.
