Uttarandhra Backward Classes Association President and TDP senior leader Muddada Madhu on Thursday said that appointment of Minister for IT and Education Nara Lokesh as the TDP Working President would further strengthen the party.
The Minister had turned as an icon for the party and won the hearts of youngsters and women with his Yuvagalam padayatra, taken up prior to 2024 Assembly poll, Mr. Madhu said.
He hailed the TDP high command for providing several top posts to BC leaders of North Andhra region during the reshuffle of the party posts. He said that it would further strengthen the party in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and other parts of the region.
Mr. Madhu said that elevation of Gajapathingaram leader Gantyada Sridevi as a polit-bureau member and appointment of Karrothu Narasinga Rao and Suvvada Vanajakshi as State secretaries of the party indicated that the party would always extend its support to backward classes.
He added that over 25 key posts were allocated to North Andhra leaders while hoping that the party would provide more opportunities for backward classes’ leaders during local body elections.
