Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president P.V.N. Madhav urged the district-level workers to prepare for the upcoming local body elections and remain grounded in the wards.Addressing a meeting of party leaders as part of his two-day visit to combined Chittoor district on Wednesday, Mr. Madhav asked the cadres to take the polls seriously. He also called upon the cadres to carry the message of the 12-year-old Narendra Modi rule at the Centre, highlighting the success achieved in governance, welfare schemes, public outreach and others. He specifically asked the field-level workers to reach out to the beneficiaries and convey to them the welfare schemes launched by the Union government.Regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Mr. Madhav directed the party workers to thoroughly scan the voters list to avoid any form of tampering. Meanwhile, BJP Tirupati district president Samanchi Srinivas informed him that booth level agents would take proactive measures to identify fake voters enrolled during the previous YSRCP regime and remove them from the list.
