A parking facility spread across around 2.5 acres at Terminal-1 of Kempegowda Bus Station at Majestic in Bengaluru was inaugurated by Karnataka’s Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on April 16.

The facility, developed at a cost of ₹3.29 crore, is expected to streamline vehicular movement within the busy premises.

The redevelopment aims to address congestion issues and improve convenience for both passengers and staff, according to Mr. Reddy.

The area near Terminal-1, adjacent to the rest house, was previously riddled with potholes and prone to waterlogging during rains, leading to significant inconvenience.

“Following complaints, I visited the site and directed officials to prioritise its redevelopment. A tender was subsequently floated to convert approximately 2.5 acres into a structured parking space,” Mr. Reddy said.
