ublished in the United States a year ago, Abundance by journalists Derek Thompson of the Atlantic and Ezra Klein of the New York Times was a success in bookstores and, above all, helped reinvigorate the centrist wing of the Democratic Party. A month ago, Arpa Editions released the book in French under the same title, Abondance.
Abundance has emerged as one of the key themes in the early campaign for the US midterm elections in November, focusing on investment, housing, infrastructure and energy, within a context that cannot be directly applied to France. However, the political approach is absolutely transferable, and it could provide a programmatic direction for the French center-left in the 2027 elections.
