The Thiruvananthapuram region of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) outperformed other regions in the Class X examinations this year too.
When the board declared the 2026 Class X results on Wednesday evening, the Thiruvananthapuram region shared the top spot with Vijayawada.
CBSE announces results for Class 10 board exams; 93.7% students pass
The region, comprising Kerala and Lakshadweep, registered a pass percentage of 99.79, same as that last year. Vijayawada was the joint topper with Thiruvananthapuram last year too.
As many as 66,522 students (33,215 boys and 33,307 girls) had appeared for the examinations from the Thiruvananthapuram region. Of them, 66,384 (33,126 boys and 33,258 girls) passed.
