Heatwave warning in six Telangana districts on April 16

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for six Telangana districts for Thursday (April 16, 2026).

According to the IMDs latest bulletin issued on Wednesday, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Khammam districts. Except Khammam, the remaining five districts are in north Telangana.

Weather forecast for Hyderabad and surrounding areas

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 41℃ and 27℃ respectively,” as per the bulletin.
