Describing the proposed amendment on delimitation as a “conspiracy” and a “black law”, DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), called upon the people of the State to hoist black flags in every home and public places on Thursday (April 16).
“We will hoist black flags in our homes to express our protest and opposition to the amendment to be introduced in the Parliament — a black law. Hoist black flags against the BJP, which is leading India into a dark period,” said Mr. Stalin, who urgently convened a meeting of party MPs and district secretaries.

Delimitation will not affect southern States, says Goyal
In a video message, he said the BJP had consistently proved his argument that the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly election was a fight between Tamil Nadu and Delhi. “It has understood the true meaning of our statement. It does not want Tamil Nadu to prosper, nor does it want the representatives of Tamil Nadu to be heard in the Parliament. It is introducing an amendment to give shape to this conspiracy. How can we accept a conspiracy as law?” he asked.
