Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday (April 13, 2026) said that after the formation of a new government in the State following Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s possible resignation, Bihar will be run by “two individuals from Gujarat”.

Though he did not name them, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader was referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Mr. Yadav said the leader succeeding Mr. Kumar will not have the people’s mandate because the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has sidelined the very individual in whose name it contested and won the election.

Nitish Kumar likely to resign on April 14, new government a day later

“It is up to the NDA to choose the new Chief Minister, but whoever will become CM, the government will be run by two individuals from Gujarat,” he said.
