Minister for Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Satya Kumar Yadav on Monday (April 13, 2026) urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres to adopt a “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last” approach.
The Minister was addressing a training camp for party cadres at Bathalapalli in Sri Sathya Sai district. The programme was part of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan 2026. Party leaders, booth-level workers and representatives of various morchas attended in large numbers.
Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said the BJP was not just a political party but a movement committed to national service. Party functionaries must have a clear understanding of the party’s history and ideology to build credibility among the public, he said. The party’s journey began with the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, founded by Syama Prasad Mookerjee in 1951, and was shaped by Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy of integral humanism, he added.
Recalling the Emergency during 1975-77, the Minister said the forces that fought to protect democracy later evolved into the Janata Party and eventually the BJP in 1980. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre was driving rapid development and implementing welfare schemes benefiting millions, Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said.
