Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the proposal to merge Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation (TGSRTC) with the government is with a Committee and appealed to the employees not to launch protest.
Assuring that their issues will be addressed, he said on Monday (April 13, 2026) that implementation of Pay Revision Commission (PRC) is under consideration. The government has recently announced a 2.1% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for the Corporation’s employees.
Speaking after launching a poster of ‘Arrive-Alive’ programme, as part of Praja Palana - Pragathiki Pranalika, at Transport Department’s office in Khairatbad, Mr. Prabhakar said that the programme to promote road safety will be held from Monday to Saturday (April 13-18). District wise review and road safety meetings would be held through the week.
The Minister said that Good Samaritans would be presented with the Rah-Veer award if victims are admitted to hospitals within the golden hour of an accident. The RTC employees who did not cause accidents in 30 years of service would be presented with awards.
