In a meaningful initiative, two students of a private school here have developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled digital platform for simplifying access to the government’s welfare schemes for ex-servicemen and widows and families of soldiers killed in the line of duty. The beneficiaries can access application links through a simple and user-friendly interface.

Kanishk Rungta and Krishaa Rungta, Class 12 students at Jayshree Periwal International School in Jaipur, have developed the app ‘Veer Sahara’. Based on the information shared, the platform informs the users to the schemes and benefits they may be eligible for through an AI-assisted interface which verbally guides them through the process.

‘Veer Sahara’ has started receiving encouraging response within a short span of time, with over 2,000 families accessing and benefiting from the information available on the app. The platform was formally launched here over the week-end in the presence of Rajasthan Military Welfare Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

Col. Rathore said the app has addressed a genuine need and proved that technology could be used for meaningful public good. “Veer Sahara is not only a useful tool for the military welfare ecosystem, but also an example of innovation that can benefit the society at large,” he said.
