In a move to ease the heavy rush of passengers during the summer season, the South Western Railway has announced the operation of special express trains between Mysuru and Dibrugarh. The service will run two trips in each direction.
According to a press release, Train No. 06253 (Mysuru–Dibrugarh Express) will depart from Mysuru on April 12 and 26 (Sundays) at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to reach Dibrugarh on Wednesdays at 1.30 a.m.
In the return direction, Train No. 06254 (Dibrugarh–Mysuru Express) will leave Dibrugarh on April 16 and 30 (Tuesdays) at 1.30 a.m. and arrive in Mysuru on Saturdays at 4.15 p.m.
The trains will halt at multiple important stations en route in both directions, including KSR Bengaluru, Katpadi, Renigunta, Vijayawada, Rajamundry, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Kharagpur, Bardhaman, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, Rangiya, and North Lakhimpur, among others.
The special trains will consist of 20 coaches, including two AC two-tier, four AC three-tier, six sleeper class, six general second class and two seating-cum-luggage rake (SLRD) coaches.
