Despite feuding with her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, and mocking their relationship, Trump wrote “Candace Owens…accuses the Highly Respected First Lady of France of being a man, when she is not.” The president also said he hopes Macron will “win lots of money” from her ongoing lawsuit against Owens before adding, “Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!” Trump also attacked Jones, calling him “bankrupt” in reference to his bankruptcy filing in 2022 after being ordered by a court to pay $1.4 billion to the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims for claiming the deadly incident was a “hoax.” Trump mocked the Info Wars host, saying he “lost his entire fortune, as he should have, for his horrendous attack on the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims, ridiculously claiming it was a hoax.”How Have Jones And Owens Reacted?Owens responded to Trump’s comments with a one-line quip on X, saying, “It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.” Jones responded to Trump’s attack in a self-recorded video posted on X: “Well, President Trump came out on Truth Social and attacked myself and all the original MAGA supporters today. And I’m just so sad that whatever’s happened to him has totally changed the man he once was, because he did so much good.” He added, “I supported the old Trump who got so many good things done…I just feel sorry for him and pray that God touches his heart and soul, and free him from the demonic influences that he’s under.” The InfoWars host also suggested that Trump’s post was a deliberate bid to distract from First Lady Melania Trump’s press conference where she denied having any ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and called for an investigation into his crimes. Chief CriticIn his post, Trump also threw a jibe at another supporter-turned-critic, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. The president wrote that the four right-wing media figures were being “nasty” like Greene, who he labeled as a “traitor.” The former GOP congresswoman reacted to the jibe in an X post criticizing the president, which said: “President Trump has gone mad as he wages war against Iran, a broken campaign promise. I fought alongside Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones to help get Trump elected. And now he goes off on a rambling rant attacking all of us in one post. We NEVER changed, Trump did.”Key BackgroundEarlier this month, Jones urged Republicans to “cut bait on Trump” and “mobilize against the Democrats,” warning that the president was “in free fall, and that means we’re in free fall in the midterms.” He raised questions about Trump’s health, claiming the president’s swollen ankles were a sign of heart failure, and criticized the Iran War. Carlson has been among the most vocal opponents of the Iran war on the right. Earlier this week the former Fox News host called out Trump’s threatening post demanding Iran to “Open the Fuckin’ Strait,” saying it was “vile on every level.” Carlson also criticized Trump for “mocking” Islam by ending his threat with the phrase “Praise be to Allah.”Further ReadingAlex Jones Urges Republicans To Ditch Trump: ‘Sounds Like The Brain’s Not Doing Too Hot’ (Forbes)Trump Calls Tucker Carlson 'Low IQ Person' After Former Ally Slams 'Vile' Iran Threats (Forbes)
