French President Emmanuel Macron showed he has heart by helping an elderly man in apparent difficulty while he was having a stroll in central Rome late on Thursday after arriving in the Italian capital for a meeting he is having with Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican on Friday.
When he saw the man sitting bend over on a step and looking in a bad way, Macron stopped and had his personal doctors check on his condition.
The doctors spend around 15 minutes assisting the man and assessing his condition, after which the president shook hands with him and continued with his walk.
