What do two mortgage companies, two insurance companies, and a certified public accountant have in common? They are all among the top five best places to work in the U.S. in 2026, according to American employees.
The sixth annual national survey, a collaboration between Energage and USA TODAY, recognizes midsize and large organizations with at least 150 employees that are exceeding national benchmarks for employee satisfaction.
Energage surveyed 2,375 organizations throughout 2025 and recognized 1,661 thanks to their standout employee feedback on factors like pay and benefits, direction and leadership, meaningfulness, and appreciation.
The top winners of the "USA TODAY Top Workplaces" award among large employers are:
Fannie Mae, Fairway Home Mortgage, Plante Moran and Progressive Insurance also ranked in the top five workplaces of 2025.
