On November 13, one year after launching America’s Best Companies, our most comprehensive ranking of companies ever, Forbes will present a new and improved 2026 edition that raises the bar for evaluating overall company excellence.
Whereas last year’s list considered public companies, this year’s expands to private entities, as well as foreign-based companies with a U.S. subsidiary (such as Toyota). Ultimately, we analyzed more than 100 metrics across 11 categories such as financial performance, customer sentiment, employee ratings, cybersecurity, sustainability, and more. New data partners, such as those from Crunchbase, add further ingredients to the mix. With more companies evaluated, and additional data, the list is expanding from 300 to 500.
