March's average temperature was 9.4 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the 20th Century average.The contiguous U.S.'s average temperature in March was 50.85 degrees Fahrenheit.Precipitation was also low in March, with the average being 1.83 inches, which is 0.68 inches below the 20th-Century average.It was the eighth-driest March since the NCEI started gathering data in 1895.Ten states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming, had their warmest March on record.See All UpdatesClose
