Member of Parliament, M. Sribharat, participated in an interactive session with the students of Chaitanya Engineering College, Kommadi, where he shared insights on India’s future, technological self-reliance, and energy security.

Addressing the students, the MP elaborated on the key factors required for India to emerge as a global superpower. He emphasised that leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is critical for technological advancement. He highlighted the importance of building high-end computing capacity, establishing world-class data centres, and ensuring national ownership of data.

He pointed out that a significant portion of India’s critical data is currently stored with foreign companies, which poses strategic challenges. He stressed that developing indigenous AI models using domestic data would provide India with a strong competitive advantage.

Speaking on the growing importance of knowledge, he noted that in the modern world, information has become a powerful tool influencing lifestyles, health, and consumer behavior. In this context, he underlined the need to prioritise data security.

Earlier, the MP along with Visakhapatnam West MLA P.G.V.R. Naidu inaugurated a series of development works worth ₹2.39 crores in Ward No. 52,89 and 90 under the Visakha West Assembly constituency by the GVMC. These include the construction of six community halls, modernisation of three playgrounds with gym equipment, development of compound walls, and the establishment of a ward secretariat.
