Skip to Main ContentMuslim Civil Rights Group Condemns Trump's 'Mocking Of Islam' In Easter Sunday PostThe Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim American civil rights group, condemned Trump's "deranged mocking of Islam" in his Easter Sunday post threatening to commit war crimes in Iran."President Trump's deranged mocking of Islam and his threats to attack civilian infrastructure in Iran are reckless, dangerous and indicative of a mindset that shows indifference to human life and contempt for religious beliefs," CAIR said in a statement. In his violent Truth Social post, Trump closed by saying, "Praise be to Allah." While much of the West – including Trump – associates the phrase with Islam, it should be noted that Allah is simply the Arabic translation for "God," and does not belong to any one religion."These statements are not made in a vacuum. They follow a long pattern of anti-Muslim rhetoric and policies that have dehumanized Muslims at home and abroad," CAIR said. "The casual use of 'Praise be to Allah' in the context of violent threats reflects a disturbing willingness to weaponize religious language while simultaneously denigrating Islam and its followers."See All UpdatesClose
