Many national retailers, grocery stores and restaurant chains will be open on Easter Sunday, albeit some with reduced hours. A few companies, like Costco, Target, and Macy's, will be closed. Banks, post offices, and shipping services will also largely be closed on Easter.
This year, Easter falls on Sunday, April 5. The date the holiday is celebrated depends on the year because it is one of several "moveable feasts" in the liturgical year, according to the History Channel.
