Crimson DesertPearl AbyssAt this point, I am expecting a new Crimson Desert every few days, given the pace that Pearl Abyss has been pumping them out, and I have not been disappointed. The latest dropped late on Friday night, and while it’s not as sweeping as past ones, it still adds some really great changes, many that fans have requested. My top three are:Up to 1,000 camp storage slots – These will now increase as you expand your camp, and ultimately end up quadrupling the current cap on storage, which is enormously important given the sheer amount of items in this game. Remember, the game launched without base storage at all, and just your own personal inventory you could eventually expand to 240 slots. During the review period, we had even less than that. This is a great change. I’m at 640 where I think the last thing I have to do is move my base to Pailune.Headgear visibility options – This allows you to remove Kliff’s headgear if you want the stats and effects but don’t want to miss out on your cool face paint and haircut. There are also multiple options here about having it on and off in just the cutscenes, or all the time. Pearl Abyss also notes the requested option of making the shield on your back invisible is being worked on for a later patch.Fixed fast travel – Pearl Abyss has added about 50 new fast travel points since launch, which are everywhere now, but one problem has remained. If you are moving even just a tiny bit and you open your map, it will say you cannot fast travel to a location. You have to come to a dead stop and then reopen the map again. Very annoying. Now that is fixed. Pearl Abyss said they will change it further where you will be able to fast travel while on mounts in the future. Those are the three big ones here, and you can read them all here. However, some more highlights:There’s a new armor set for cats, which includes a Visone helmetThere’s a new fast travel point in PailuneYou can change movement controls back to the old version if you want to, mainly changes to sprintThey fixed the Focus state staying with Aerial Roll which could result in too much distanceThe little icon in bottom right will now select that thing directly, as in, opening an Abyss challenge itemThey overhauled the Save/Load menus, separating them and making them have more traditional, logical inputsThose are the rest of the noteworthy ones, but obviously, there are other bug and performance fixes. Now, please, make skill points shared among companions.
