D. Rajasekhar Reddy, a retired Professor in Geology from Andhra University, has been appointed as the State Co-Convener of the Andhra Pradesh State Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). The appointment is for a three-year term, effective until March 26, 2029.

Currently serving as the Adviser for Geoheritage and the Convener of the INTACH Visakhapatnam Chapter, Mr. Reddy’s tenure at Andhra University and his ongoing commitment to preserving the region’s natural and historical assets have been instrumental in advancing heritage conservation efforts in North Coastal Andhra.

In his new capacity, he will oversee and coordinate INTACH’s cultural and environmental preservation initiatives across the entire state of Andhra Pradesh, focusing on strengthening the organization’s mission to protect and document India’s diverse heritage, according to a release in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
