The Coimbatore police have brought specific locations under Red Zone in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival at the Coimbatore Airport on Sunday (March 29) en route Kerala for election campaign.
Operation of drones will not be permitted in the Red Zone locations.
Neelambur, Chinthamanipudur, Chettipalayam, Madhukarai, Ettimadai, Walayar and surroundings would be under Red Zone regulation of the Coimbatore Rural Police till 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Likewise, the Coimbatore City Police started enforcing Red Zone regulation in Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, SITRA, Nehru Nagar, Singanallur, SIHC Colony, Chinnniampalayam, Kalapatti, Kochi-Palakkad Road, Pothanur, Sundarapuram and Eachaneri for a 48-hour duration till 5 p.m. on Sunday.
For the first-phase campaign for NDA candidates in Kerala, the Prime Minister is scheduled to reach Palakkad by helicopter from Coimbatore Airport on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.
