Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta on Friday said that the surveillance has been heightened as over 3,000 CCTV cameras have been installed ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Bhogapuram for the inauguration of the airport on Saturday.After inspecting the security plan and arrangements at Bhogapuram, he added that the police will closely monitor the traffic for the PM’s programme. Meanwhile, Additional DGP (law and order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy, Inspector General of Police (IGPs) Ake Ravi Krishna, Ch. Srikanth and Gopinath Jetty and SP A.R. Damodar have also reviewed the preparedness for the event.Mr. Krishna explained that CCTV cameras have been integrated with the integrated command control, and police will oversee the security via. integrated management, cloud management, at the main meeting place and the venue for cultural programmes.Mr. Gupta inquired about the security plan with Mr. Damodar and directed the police to check the public at all entry points.The DGP instructed the officers to focus on traffic management near the venue and on all roads leading to the airport, and arrange signboards on the highway for the convenience of the public, said the police in a release issued from the AP Police Headquarters.
