The body of Pamela Genini, a 29-year-old model murdered in Milan last October by her ex-partner, 52-year-old Gianluca Soncin, was stolen and decapitated on Monday, a TV show reported Thursday before the news was confirmed by ANSA.
The grisly discovery, reported during the program "Dentro la notizia," hosted on Canale 5 by Gianluigi Nuzzi, and confirmed to ANSA, dates back to last Monday, when the coffin, kept in the Strozza cemetery in the province of Bergamo, was due to be transferred from the burial niche to the family chapel.
Investigators are working to identify those responsible and clarify the motive behind the act.
