California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) press team wasted little time mocking Donald Trump after first lady Melania Trump appeared at a summit featuring a humanoid robot.
Images of Melania Trump walking side by side with the robot quickly went viral on Wednesday:
The team for Newsom, who has deployed Trump-esque trolling tactics on behalf of the potential Democratic 2028 presidential candidate, responded with a doctored version of the scene.
The edit replaced the robot with one that bore a striking resemblance to the president.
“Introducing the TrumpBot 3000!” the team wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
