The minimum temperature in Delhi dipped to 13°C, 3.5 degrees below normal, as a chilly wind swept the city. The maximum temperature was 27.4°C, which is also 3.9 degrees lower than normal.
Delhi had logged its coldest March day since March 8, 2020, when the mercury had dropped to 21.2°C.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at Lodhi Road. The maximum was a six-degree increase from Friday and the minimum was 2.8 degrees lower than the day before.
Both the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to rise gradually throughout the week, reaching approximately 32-34 degrees Celsius and 17-19 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Parts of the city received light rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday, but there was no rainfall during the day till 5.30 p.m., as per the IMD’s data.
