The Andhra Pradesh Counselling Psychologists Association is providing free tele-counselling service for students appearing for the ongoing Class X public examinations in the State, said association president Dr. T.S. Rao.
During the examinations, many students may feel fear, anxiety, tension, panic, or some cases even leave the exam hall due to stress. To instil confidence and support such students for appearing the examinations well, online and telephone counselling service has been arranged, said association vice-president Dr. Garre Sankara Rao.
A professional counselling team comprising of clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, general psychologists and rehabilitation psychologists has been formed, Dr. T.S. Rao said in a press release on Tuesday.
For tele-counselling services, students may contact Kousalya at 7981059088 (Visakhapatnam), Navitha Sree at 7337414241 and Kavitha at 9010190409 (Vijayawada). The team will be available every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to offer psychological support and counselling.
Parents, teachers, and students are requested to avail the services of A.P. Counselling Psychologists Association and help students overcome exam-related stress, Dr. Sankara Rao said.
