At last, the 2026 Oscars are here.

Comedian Conan O’Brien is returning to host the ceremony for the second time.

“Sinners,” Ryan Coogler’s blockbuster horror flick, leads the ceremony with 16 nominations, a record-breaking feat for a single film in the nearly 100 years of the Academy Awards. The film is up for several top categories including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director, among others.

If Coogler wins the director award, he’d be the first Black person to win the category.

“One Battle After Another,” the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed black comedy-thriller, nabbed 13 noms, including for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director. Anderson has received 13 Oscar nominations for his career so far; he could finally nab his first win.
