All arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the Secondary School Certificate Class 10 public examinations scheduled from March 16 to April 1 between 9.30 am and 12.45 pm. Prakasam Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju said strict measures have been put in place to prevent any untoward incident during the examinations.
He said tight security has been arranged while transporting question papers to the examination centres and while shifting answer scripts, besides ensuring protection at the strongrooms where the papers are stored. Section 144 has been imposed at the examination centres and steps have been taken to ensure that no one loiters around the premises. Xerox centres located near the examination centres are being closed during the examination period.
In another meeting, Prakasam District Educational Officer C. V. Renuka said all arrangements for conducting the SSC examinations had been completed. A total of 28,632 students are expected to appear in the district. Of them, 14,289 are boys and 14,312 are girls in the regular category. In the private category, 21 boys and 10 girls will take the examination.
She said 1,144 regular and supplementary students from the AP Open School Society will appear for the examinations, including 823 boys and 321 girls. As many as 165 centres have been allotted for the examinations and 14 centres for the APOSS examinations. Spot valuation will be conducted from April 4 to 13 at D. R. R. M. Municipal High School in Ongole.
