More than 550,000 Toyota vehicles have been recalled due to a seat back defect that could increase the risk of injury.

The March 5 recall notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the "second-row seat backs may fail to lock into position during seat back adjustment."

The agency noted that the issue could lead to an occupant not being properly restrained in a high speed collision scenario.
