The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls for vehicles last week, including notices for over 55,000 Toyota vehicles.
Are you looking to see if recalls have been issued on your vehicle? Owners can check USA TODAY's automotive recall database or search NHTSA's database for new recalls.
The NHTSA website also allows you to search for recalls by your vehicle identification number, or VIN. Here's what you need to know about the vehicle recalls published by NHTSA from Dec. 22 to Dec. 28.
Toyota recalled certain 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid and 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles. A bolt inside the inverter of the recalled vehicles may not have been tightened properly, causing incomplete contact at the inverter terminal.
The improperly tightened bolt may cause an open circuit that could lead to the activation of limp mode or loss of motive power, according to the recall report.
