Rory McIlroy is the aiming to win a third Players Championship title
Rory McIlroy says it will probably be a last-minute decision whether he begins the defence of his Players Championship title at Sawgrass.
The 36-year-old says the back injury he suffered preparing for his third round at Bay Hill last Saturday is improving.
The Northern Ireland player hit balls on the range on the eve of this week's prestigious event hopeful that he will be able to compete.
"It's better than it was," McIlroy told reporters. "I hit up until a six-iron on the range there and it felt OK."
