March 6 (UPI) -- Jessie Buckley's performance in Hamnet has so far earned her accolades at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice, BAFTAs and Actor Awards.

Her portrayal of Agnes in the film has also secured an Oscar nomination. The movie, which takes its inspiration from a historical fiction novel by Maggie O'Farrell, follows Agnes and William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) as they mourn the loss of their son Hamnet (Jacob Jupe).

The Irish actress, 36, is also getting attention for starring opposite Christian Bale in the Maggie Gyllenhaal-directed Frankenstein film The Bride!, which arrives in theaters Friday.

In that feature, Buckley's Ida is brought back to life as a companion for Frankenstein.

But Buckley has been delivering standout performances for years.
