Rome temporarily moved its diplomatic contingent in Tehran to Baku on Thursday, when all the Italian nationals in Iran who wanted to leave the country were taken to Azerbaijan too "Maintaining diplomatic contact is important," Tajani said after an online meeting with ambassadors in the Persian Gulf area.
"We continue to have an embassy in Iran, but it will operate from the capital of Azerbaijan.
"Therefore, there is absolutely no interruption of diplomatic relations, because we believe we must continue to talk.
