A 25-year-old delivery man was arrested after he assaulted a security guard of an apartment complex in K.K. Nagar on Tuesday. The security guard is battling for life. When the security guard, Velmurugan, 46, was on duty at an apartment complex at Vembuliamman Koil Street in K.K. Nagar, the accused, Dinesh, did not stop at the gate when he entered.When Velmurugan questioned Dinesh for not stopping his vehicle at the gate, an argument ensued between the both and Dinesh severely assaulted Velmurugan. Velmurugan suffered injuries on the head and fainted. He was rushed to a private hospital where he is battling for life. The K.K. Nagar police arrested Dinesh for attempt to murder.
