The Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Poonamallee, seized 15 kg of ganja, and arrested four persons near the Poonamallee outstation bus terminus on Monday. The police were on surveillance duty near the bus stand when they noticed suspicious activity among four men. The suspects were identified as Mohammed Kaif, 23, of Madurai, Silambarasan, 24, of Tiruvannamalai, Nawaz, 20, and Muhaideen, 19, both from Gummidipoondi.On questioning and subsequent search, police recovered four kg of ganja each from Mohammed Kaif, Nawaz, Muhaideen, and three kg from Silambarasan, totalling 15 kg.
