Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy expressed confidence that all Indians, including Kannadigas stranded in conflict-hit West Asian countries, will return home safely once flight operations resume.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru on March 2, Mr. Kumaraswamy said the Union government has taken all necessary steps to facilitate the safe return of stranded Indians, particularly those in transit hubs such as Dubai.
Recalling similar crises in the past, he said the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had successfully airlifted Indians to safety. “All efforts are being made to ensure everyone returns safely this time as well,” he added.
“I have personally contacted Kannadigas stranded in countries, including Dubai, that are under the shadow of conflict. All of them are safe and will return safely. There is no need for concern,” he said.
