On Purim exactly 100 years ago during the British Mandate, Haaretz ran an interesting story. It turned out that in the first modern Hebrew city, the celebrations were attended by some of the Jews' Arab neighbors. The newspaper reported this in its column "In Jaffa and Tel Aviv" while quoting from Arab newspapers.
