Feb. 27 (UPI) -- The next installments in the mainline Pokémon video game series titled Winds and Waves is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
The Pokémon Company made the announcement Friday during a livestreamed event that included a trailer for Winds and Waves.
Winds and Waves will have players choose between three new starter Pokémon that include the grass-type Browt, fire-type Pombon and the water-type Gecqua.
The games take place in a new, sprawling open world that features a collection of tropical islands set across a vast ocean. Players will also have new ways to explore underwater.
