A 38-year-old motorist was killed after being hit by a truck on the Manali Expressway Tuesday night (February 24, 2026).
Dhanasekar, a resident of the Tsunami housing quarters, was returning from work on his two-wheeler. As he was approaching the Bharat Nagar roundabout and taking a right turn, a heavy truck, coming from the opposite direction, hit him. Dhanasekar was thrown off the vehicle and killed on the spot.
The Tiruvottiyur Traffic Investigation Police sent the body to Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem. The police are searching for the truck driver, who fled the spot.
