Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Britain announced a new package of humanitarian and reconstruction assistance for Ukraine on Tuesday, the grim fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion.
The package includes nearly $27 million worth of emergency energy support to protect and repair Ukraine's energy grid and $7.6 million in humanitarian assistance for frontline communities.
It also includes medical mentoring for Ukrainian clinicians in the war-torn country and helicopter training in Britain for Ukrainian pilots, though both initiatives appear to already be underway.
"This war remains the most critical issue of our age," Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a statement announcing the package.
