President Donald Trump on Thursday made a complaint about former President Joe Biden that couldn’t have come at a worse possible time.
“We had the worst inflation in history under Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump said. “He was sleeping while you were working. No, he was sleeping while you were trying to get a job, you weren’t working.”
Trump often refers to Biden as “Sleepy Joe” and has accused him of snoozing on the job.
But since returning to the White House, Trump himself has appeared to nod off in public on multiple occasions ― including on Thursday, just hours before he accused Biden of sleeping.
