Three days after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, 21-year-old Abed al-Rahem Haj-Yahya was woken up from an afternoon nap by four police officers. Three of the officers, he recalls, were undercover, dressed in civilian clothes, while only one wore a Border Police uniform with a gun hanging across his chest.
