The FBI is sharing details about a person they consider to be a suspect in Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping.

In an X post shared just after 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 12, the agency's Phoenix Field Office confirmed the person seen in Guthrie's doorbell camera footage is a suspect in the case and shared a physical description.

"The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” - 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter 'Ozark Trail Hiker Pack' backpack," the post read.

"We hope this updated description will help concentrate the public tips we are receiving. Since February 1, 2026, the FBI has collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to this case," the post continued.

The suspect's details were "confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division," per the FBI.
